you may not know who chase jarvis is...but you should...google him.
you may not know what an iphone is...and then again you are probably living in a cave and therefore can't read this post anyways.
chase jarvis created a photography app for the iphone camera, called the best camera app. very cool. he also has a book called the best camera...in which he shares thoughts and images...
you see, i watched a video blog of his today, in which he talks about how the best camera is the one that you have...and he's so right! so many times we get so caught up in the most megapixels, etc etc...and that's not even it...a $5000 camera is just that if you don't know what you're doing.
soo...i'm challenging myself and all you photographers, wanna be photographers, etc out there...what can you do with minimal resources? your iphone camera? your 35mm? your cell camera? your p&s camera?
my goal is to post *at least* one photo a week of something i've shot with my most simple camera...i'd love to see what you've got on yours!!
So! Tomorrow I am going to go out...with my cell phone...and take a photo to post here(ashleybrawnerphotography.blogspot.com) for you guys...and i'd love to see what you get too...so come on back and send me your link to your best camera photo! here's to getting back to the basics!
This year I am really trying to be better about posting to my photography blog and updating my website with the most current images...For several reasons, 1-I love to show off my awesome clients! and 2-because I know people LOVE to see the most recent photo shoots that I've done!
So...For my first post of 2010, I am posting some photos that I did "just for fun" on something that's VERY rare in Georgia, a snow day! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as the kids in the photos enjoyed the snow! 
I love this family. This is the third time I've gotten to do their photos, and it is always a joy and a privilege. We always have so much fun and I enjoy being around them as much as I enjoy doing their photos. Here are a few from their session :). 
The Ramsells are such a fun family! Their girls are so full of life and excitement! Oh to be a child again!! This family is great and I look forward to working with them for many years to come! And thank you to Joy for sending them my way!! We had such a blast playing around the park! They are such a fun, beautiful and easy family to photograph! But you don't have to take my word for it... This is a VERY sweet family that we have known for sometime now. Jason, the dad actually was the minister that married Wes & I, almost 8years ago, and we were his first wedding! They are a very sweet family and the kids are just too adorable! Carson is a bundle of energy and fun and Clair is just as sweet as her mama! Here are a few photos from their shoot at their home. 
Jill and David got married in October and I had the privilege of doing the first photo session of them as a married couple! Super sweet newly weds, very much in love! Here are a few from their shoot. 
Monday was a first for me... I have not yet had the privilege of photographing twin boys! And they were a BLAST! It amazed me how different their personalities can be, even at 9months old! It was a pleasure to meet their mom too! I look forward to doing more sessions with this family in the future and seeing how they grow! Here are a few of my favorites from their shoot, so far:
Over the last few months I have had the privilege of meeting some special people and photographing them. Few have touched my heart the way that this precious little girl has though. Kylin, only 8weeks old, has had more doctor visits than many adults that I know. She is being tested for SMA. I had never heard of SMA before meeting Kylin and her family, so I googled it. SMA has 3 types and none of them have any known cures. We know that God works all things together for the good of them that love Him and that He has a purpose in every thing and person that He breathes life into. We have been praying for Kylin and her family, and I encourage you to lift them up in your prayers. Here are a few photos of Kylin:

Ashleigh and Quinn had such a sweet wedding! From the moment she walked out he could not keep his eyes off of her, it was definitely one of the sweetest weddings I have ever had the privilege of photographing.
